Product Review: Replenex

Why did I start with Replenex?

I was diagnosed with arthritis when I was only 17 years old and living in Arizona. One of the driest places on the planet - imagine that!

Over the years, it has become increasingly worse and some surgeries and accidents have contributed to my discomfort. Add to that years of working jobs where I was on my feet up to 14 hours a day and you have a wonderful recipe for pain.

Though I am only 35, I have suffered from pain, stiffness and swelling in my joints for a long time. About a month ago, I decided to give Replenex a try and so far it has proven to be very helpful.

The weather usually has a very big influence on how I feel. I can feel a storm coming days in advance. And though I can still predict the weather, I am not nearly as sore and stiff as I was.

A little About Joints

Regular everyday activities we take for granted result from the action of muscles across joints. Joints are the structures in your body where two bones meet. (your hips, ankles, wrists, fingers, shoulders, etc.) Even turning a doorknob or opening a jar requires the controlled, efficient movement of more than 20 joints. So how much activity do you think your joints get in just a regular day?

Normal, healthy joints have a 'cushioning system' going on where the bone ends that connect are covered with joint cartilage (or Articular Cartilage). This provides a virtual friction-free surface between them . In time, for some people, this natural "shock absorber" wears away and leaves bones open to painful friction.

A Little About Glucosamine

Glucosamine is a natural amino sugar which is found abundantly in your body. It helps keep your cartilage lubricated and maintain it's slippery texture so your joints can move fluidly. Scientists believe glucosamine is the single most important component of the nutrients that make up cartilage and has been shown in studies to help sustain the production of those components which provide natural support to joints.

Why Not Just Get Regular Drug Store Variety Glucosamine?

Many glucosamine supplements don't contain glucosamine HC1, which is the most absorbable form of glucosamine. If you are going to take any nutritional supplement, you should be concerned with the absorbability factor. If your body cannot absorb it, you are just passing it right back out of your system without getting any of the desired benefits!

What Makes Replenex Different?

Replenex addresses join health by supplying 1,500 mg of high-potency glucosamine HG1 (the research-recommended dose) and a proprietary blend of bromelain, ginger and green tea extract to rebuild cartilage and boost joint health.

Since Replenex uses glucosamine HG1, it is easily absorbed into your body so you get the full effect of the supplement you are taking!

It works! I have to say that I was surprised this morning when I woke up to a dreary, rainy day and I was able to log onto my computer and type without any pain or stiffness in my fingers. This is the first time I have actually noticed the difference in my joints since starting taking Replenex a month ago, and I am impressed!

Dude! I'm Goin' Green!

I am doing it. I'm slowly converting my home into a more healthy and safe environment for myself and my children. I will be replacing my old chemical based household cleaning products with new eco-friendly non-toxic cleaning supplies as well as beginning the 30 Day Challenge with vitamins and minerals utilizing the Oligofructose Complex.

All my life I have suffered from a series of health-related issues and though my children have been healthy for the most part, I am ready to make a change for the better. With new medical issues arriving and no health insurance, I am exploring another option in making myself and my family healthier.

I've read a lot about the numerous success stories associated with the 30 Day Challenge and with taking these particular vitamins in general. So, since I am already using (and loving) a few of the other household products, I would just broaden my horizons a bit and see what happens.

What do I have to lose?  I'll tell you what I would LIKE to lose....

  • heart palpatations
  • headaches
  • insomnia
  • brain malfunctions
  • blood sugar malfunctions
  • joint and muscle pain due to arthritis

I started my daily multivitamin and mineral supplement experiment two days ago, so that would be the 19th of March, 2010.  I will continue to update as I see results.

I am also going to begin posting the steps that we are taking as we, as a family, learn more about protecting ourselves and our environment by re-cycling, using more earth-friendly products, gardening (this should be interesting since I live in a sand pit!) and just getting healthier in general.

Since I am a full-time, work from home mom, I spend a lot of time sitting at my computer and know that I need to MOVE more. I can't use the excuse that I don't have time or space to exercise, because we live on 7 1/2 acres of beautiful land filled with woods to stomp around on! My children, as well, need to be outside more often. More days than I can count, they have all spent their after-school hours huddled around a Playstation instead of being outside playing. This is going to change as well.

And it's not just about vitamins and exercise.  It is also about being less wasteful. Finding ways to make things last. Learning how to find uses for things that you normally would be throwing away. Being more thrifty and saving money.

It's going to take some time, but we'll get this. Thanks for sharing our journey with us!

Enthusiastically,
Carrie & Family
